SRG Global has successfully completed extensive strengthening works for Water NSW at the Keepit Dam in New South Wales. Our project entailed substantial civil construction and remedial works, complex demolition, extensive temporary access systems, and precision drilling of Ø356mm holes through the dam for the installation of 67 high-capacity permanent ground anchors into its foundation.
We constructed each anchor using 65 or 91 x 15.7mm strand tendons of varying lengths, with the equal world record capacity largest anchors comprising 91 strands and extending approximately 88 meters below the dam crest. By implementing these enhancements, we have significantly bolstered the dam’s structural integrity, ensuring its continued stability and optimal performance.
